GOOD COMPANIONS
Good
Companions meet in the village Institute on the second Tuesday
of each month, 1.45pm to 3.30pm. Activities include bingo,
outings and other events. Contact Joyce Holman for full

4TH ANNUAL SCARECROW HUNT
The village annual scarecrow hunt is being held on the 17th September starting from Hemingbrough Primary School at 6pm followed by a BBQ at The Crown Inn. If you want to construct a scarecrow and display it in your front garden or somewhere visible from the road, on the evening of Friday, 17th September? Then contact Judith Battersby on Tel: 01757 63064 at least a week before to be included in this event.
Maps are handed out at Hemingbrough Primary School showing which streets to look down and all scarecrows have to be written down and then votes are cast for the favorite three.
Winners will be notified at the BBQ at The Crown with prizes awarded to the best scarecrows and best hunters. |
PARISH COUNCIL MEETINGS
Held on the 3rd Thursday of every month in the Village Institute, Garthends Lane.The meeting commences at 7.30pm.
